Section 1: Rationale

Throughout the first 7 units of the qualification, I feel I have made some great progress and achieved a lot along the way because at the beginning of the course I didn't know how everything worked, so right away I had to quickly learn everything.

I didn't like the filming and audio aspect of the units but I'm thankful for having the chance to learn the different skills. Project 5 really brought me to have a passion in design using Illustrator and branding in general because it let me explore what I have in mind while being in the guidelines of the task, everything about the task was perfect for me and it hooked me immediately.

I think my hard work and dedication has really paid off and I've gained a solid foundation of knowledge and skills that will give me a good chance in the future. I think I've shown a strong commitment to my work and demonstrated that I am capable of achieving great things if I keep up the good work and continue to do so in all that I do. I think I have made a good opportunity with my passion in the industry, it would be a shame for me to waste all my efforts and knowledge.

Section 2: Concept

Street food is popular within the continent of Asia so from that I'm going to give my street food brand design an Asian theme to make it look authentic and show that I have done research on street food. Street food in Asia is typically served from carts for easy mobility, so I'm going to design a logo for a poster  that can fit on the cart with ease. Through extensive research and prior knowledge, I've learned that street food in Asia is often presented in convenient containers like boxes, tubs, or cardboard bowls, mirroring the packaging commonly seen in the UK and US. As I delve into the final design development, I'll carefully consider the branding's size and scalability to ensure it aligns with the practicalities of street food vending.

As for logos, I scoured around Google Images and Pinterest for ideas and inspiration for my own logo, They all seem to have a  similar aspect to them (mainly involving the colour red and Pandas or a traditional rice hat). I think I will do a combination of these but make it have the same ratio from each idea while also make sure it will fit evenly. I will use feedback to implement what others think is missing from the design, I will use one person's feedback to make another test model and ask someone else to compare the two and decide which looks more authentic. This is to make sure that it's exactly as the people asked.

Section 3: Evaluation

In assessing each section of my work, I'll also consider the practicality of each choice. This includes assessing factors such as production costs, scalability, and alignment with the brand's overall vision. By taking a careful approach to decision-making, I can ensure that my designs not only look visually appealing but also meet the functional requirements of the street food brand.

Furthermore, I understand the importance of continuous improvement in the design process. By actively getting feedback from peers, I can identify areas for improvement and refine my designs iteratively. This iterative approach fosters a culture of learning and growth, ultimately leading to the development of stronger, more impactful design solutions.

To maintain organization and clarity throughout the design process, I'll diligently document all changes and revisions. This comprehensive record not only serves as a reference point for future iterations but also facilitates collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Clear documentation ensures that everyone involved in the project remains informed and aligned, minimizing misunderstandings and streamlining decision-making.

While collaboration offers numerous benefits, I'm mindful of the potential challenges it may bring. Differences in opinion, conflicting priorities, and communication barriers can all pose obstacles to progress. However, by approaching collaboration strategically and proactively addressing any issues that arise, I can effectively get past these challenges and capitalize on the collective expertise of my collaborators.

Ultimately, my goal is to strike a balance between collaboration and individual independence, holding the strengths of both approaches to drive innovation and achieve success in my street food brand design project.
